사우디 아라비아는 27일 1급 수배자인 테러용의자 한명을 2건의 총격전 끝에 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
사우디 내무부는 이날 카심 주에서 자동차를 타고 경찰관 2명에게 총격을 가해 사망케 한 테러용의자 모하메드 빈 압델-라흐만 알-수와일미를 체포했다고 발표했습니다.
내무부는 또한 이 용의자가 체포되기 전에 다시 경찰 검문소 부근에서 총격을 가해 3명의 경찰을 살해했다고 말했습니다.
사우디 당국은 지난 9월, 총격전에서 다른 4명의 무장세력과 함께 알-수와일미를 사살했다고 발표했으나, 노련한 인터넷 전문가인 23살의 알-수와일미는 그가 아직 생존해 있다는 영상 테이프를 인터넷에 올린 바 있습니다.

Saudi Arabia says its security forces have arrested one of the kingdom's most-wanted terror suspects, after two shootouts today (Tuesday) in which five policemen were killed.
The Interior Ministry says the suspect -- identified as Mohammed bin Abdel-Rahman al-Suwailmi -- shot dead two policemen from his car in Qassim province.
Authorities say the suspect later opened fire on a nearby security checkpoint, killing three more police officers before he was arrested.
Last September, Saudi authorities said police killed Mr. al-Suwailmi along with four other suspected militants in a shootout. But the 23-year-old suspect -- a reputed Internet expert -- later released an audio tape saying he was still alive.
The kingdom launched a massive crackdown on Islamic militants in 2003, following a series of deadly attacks on foreigners and oil facilities in the kingdom.
