미국 중앙정보국, CIA가 20여개국에 비밀 합동 반테러센터들을 세웠다고 워싱턴 포스트신문이 보도했습니다.
워싱턴 포스트 신문은 18일 이 센터들은 CIA가 제공하는 정보에 따라 움직이며’ 지역 정보원들은 통상 테러용의자들을 체포하는 일에 동원되고 있다고 말했습니다.
이 같은 보도는 이름을 밝히기를 거부하는 미국과 외국의 전현직 관리들과의 인터뷰를 통해 나온 것입니다.
이 비밀계획은 합법적인 것으로 지난 2001년 9/11테러공격으로 크게 힘을 얻었다고 이 신문은 말했습니다.

A leading U.S. newspaper reports that the Central Intelligence Agency has set up secret joint anti-terrorist centers in more than twenty nations.The Washington Post today (Friday) says the centers may act on tips provided by the CIA, but local agents are used to capture suspected terrorists.
The newspaper based its report on interviews with current and former U.S. and foreign officials who declined to be named.
The Post says the secret program is legal and received a huge boost after the September 2001 terrorist attacks. It says increased funding has allowed the CIA to entice a wide variety of countries to work with it, including Indonesia, Uzbekistan and France.
The newspaper reports the centers are separate from the secret CIA prisons the Post says exist in several countries.
The CIA had no immediate comment on the report.
