중국 북부지역의 석탄광에서 가스폭발 사고가 발생해 최소한 16명이 사망했습니다.
이번 사고는 내몽고 지역 우하이에 소재한 바인사이 석탄타르 회사가 경영하는 광산에서 11일 발생했습니다.
관영 신화통신은 이 회사가 안전면허 없이 광산을 운영해 왔다고 보도했습니다.
중국의 광산은 세계에서 가장 위험한 것으로 간주되고 있으며 매년 폭발과 붕괴 등 사고로 수천명이 사망하고 있습니다.

A gas explosion in a coal mine in northern China has killed at least 16 workers.The blast occurred Friday at a mine run by the Bayinsai Coal Tar Company in Wuhai, a city in the Inner Mongolia region.
The official Xinhua news agency reported today (Saturday) that the company was operating without a safety license.
China's mines are considered the world's most dangerous, with thousands dying every year in explosions, cave-ins, floods and other disasters.
Most of the accidents are caused by indifference to safety rules and a lack of required safety equipment.
