시위자들은 워싱턴 모뉴멘트 부근에서 집회를 가진 뒤 백악관을 통과하는 시위 행진을 벌입니다.
반전 시위자들 가운데는 이라크에서 전사한 미군의 어머니로 부쉬 대통령을 만나야겠다고 요구하며 텍사스의 대통령 목장 바깥에서 여러주 야영을 했던 신디 시한씨도 들어 있습니다.
한편, 이에 대응하는 소규모의 데모들도 같은 지역에서 벌어질 계획입니다.

Organizers of today's (Saturday's) protest in Washington against the war in Iraq say they expect a crowd of more than 100-thousand people.
Anti-war activists say the demonstration will be the largest since the war began. The protesters will rally near the Washington monument and march past the White House.
Counter-protesters plan smaller demonstrations in the area.
Among the anti-war protesters will be Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a U.S. soldier killed in Iraq. She gained attention for camping outside President Bush's Texas ranch for several weeks, demanding to meet with the president.
Polls indicate the American public is growing increasingly uneasy with the costs of the Iraq war, especially with the added national expense of Hurricane Katrina.
President Bush has repeatedly said pulling U.S. troops out of Iraq prematurely would make the world more dangerous.
