The Asian Development Bank is hosting its second Southeast Asia Water Forum on the Indonesian resort island of Bali.
More than 400 participants are attending the week-long conference to discuss topics including improved access to water supplies and managing water service demands in growing cities.
Public and private sector representatives are to join with international development agencies to create a regional commitment toward water management and improved water governance by the end of the conference.
The ADB says Southeast Asia is one of the most water-rich regions of the world, accounting for 15 percent of the world's total water resource.
