국제 우주정거장에 체류하면서 지구를 순회하고 있는 러시아 우주인이 최장기 우주 체류 기록을 수립했습니다.
러시아 우주국은 우주인 세르게이 크리칼리오프가 16일, 종전의 747일 14시간 14분 11초의 기록을 깨뜨렸다고 발표했습니다. 크리칼리오프는 앞으로도 두달동안 더 우주에 체류했다 지구로 돌아올 예정입니다.
앞서의 기록은 또 다른 러시아 우주인 세르게이 아브데예프가 세운 것이었습니다.
우주인 크리칼리오프는 1988년 처음으로 우주여행을 했으며 당시 러시아의 미르 우주정거장에서 2년여를 체류했었습니다. 그는 또 미국 우주 왕복선에 탑승한 최초의 러시아의 우주인이었으며, 국제 우주정거장의 첫 승무원 팀중 한명이기도 합니다.

The Russian cosmonaut currently orbiting Earth aboard the International Space Station has set a record for spending the longest total time in space.
Russia's space agency says Sergei Krikalyov broke the previous record of 747 days, 14 hours, 14 minutes and 11 seconds today (Tuesday). He still has two more months aboard the orbiter before he returns to Earth.
The former record for longest total time in space was held by another Russian cosmonaut, Sergei Avdeyev.
Cosmonaut Krikalyov's first trip to space was in 1988, when he spent more than two years aboard Russia's Mir space station. He also was the first Russian to fly on the U.S. space shuttle, and he was a member of the first International Space Station crew.
