국왕의 동생인 노로돔 라나리드 왕자는 중국은 캄보디아의 진정한 우방이며 아시아와 전세계에서 강력한 영향력을 갖고 있어 시하모니 국왕이 첫 해외 방문지로 중국을 택했다고 말했습니다.
시하모니 국왕의 중국 방문에는 부친인 올해 82세인 시하누크 전 국왕과 어머니 모니네쓰 전 왕비가 동행하고 있습니다.*

Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni begins an state visit to China today (Wednesday), his first official trip since ascending to the throne last year.
The king's brother, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, says King Sihamoni chose China because it is a true friend of Cambodia and has powerful influence in Asia and the world.
King Sihamoni is accompanied by his father, 82-year-old former King Sihanouk, and his mother, former Queen Monineath.
The former king abdicated last May in favor of his younger son because of poor health. The ex-monarch is suffering from colon cancer and other serious ailments, and spent several months in Beijing earlier this year for chemotherapy.
