콜롬비아에서 좌파 반군과의 전투이후 행방불명된 정부군 병사 19명이 생존한 채 발견됐다고 군 관계자들이 밝혔습니다. 콜롬비아의 헤르난도 오르티즈 장군은 이들 병사는 모두 건강하다고 전했습니다.
이들은 콜롬비아 서남부 푸투마요 주에 있는 정부군 기지를 공격했던 콜롬비아혁명무장군, FARC 대원들과 전투가 벌어진 뒤인 지난 25일 실종됐습니다. 이 전투에서 정부군 병사 적어도 19명이 전사했습니다.
25일 동북부 베네주엘라와의 접경 지역 부근에서는 반군과 정부군간 또다른 충돌이 벌어져 정부군 병사 6명이 사망했습니다. 콜롬비아의 알바로 우리베 대통령은 26일 전투가 벌어진 지역들을 둘러볼 것으로 보입니다.
보다 규모가 적은 반군 단체와 우파 준군사 단체와 제휴한 FARC는 정부군과 장기전을 전개함으로써 매년 수천명이 목숨을 잃고 있습니다.

Colombian army officials say 19 soldiers who went missing after battling leftist rebels have been found alive.
General Hernando Ortiz says the soldiers are in good health. They had gone missing Saturday after fighting members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia or FARC, who attacked their base in the southwestern Putumayo state. At least 19 other soldiers in that battle were killed.
In another clash Saturday, near the northeastern border with Venezuela, six soldiers were killed.
President Alvaro Uribe is expected to travel to the areas were the fighting took place today (Sunday).
The FARC, along with a smaller rebel group and rightist paramilitary units, is locked in a long-running war with the government that kills thousands of people each year.
