남 와지리스탄 지역에서는 지난달 22일에도 미사일 공격이 있었습니다. 파키스탄 정부 관계자는 미사일 공격으로 메단 마을의 폐교가 파괴됐다고 말했습니다.
남 와지리스탄은 알카에다와 탈레반 지도자들의 거점으로 여겨지고 있습니다.
이 지역에서는 지난해 중순 이후 미군 무인비행기에서 발사된 것으로 추정되는 미사일 공격이 30건 가량 있었습니다. 하지만 파키스탄 정부는 공식적으로 이를 부인하고 있습니다.

Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. missile attack has killed at least three militants in northwest Pakistan, near the Afghan border.
Today's (Friday's) attack was the second missile strike in South Waziristan in as many days. Officials say the strike destroyed an abandoned school in the village of Medan.
South Waziristan is believed to be home to many al-Qaida and Taliban leaders.
Suspected U.S. drones (or unmanned aircraft) are reported to have launched about 30 missile attacks in Pakistan since the middle of last year, despite public objections by the Pakistani government.
On Thursday, Pakistani officials said a U.S. missile strike killed at least three people in South Waziristan.
