앞서 이틀 전 이란은 베르나르 폴레티 이란 주재 프랑스 대사를 소환해 니콜라 사르코지 프랑스 대통령이 마무드 아마디네자드 이란 대통령에 대해 비판했던 데 대해 해명 발언을 하도록 했습니다. 사르코지 대통령은 앞서 아마디네자드 대통령이 이스라엘의 붕괴를 주장했기 때문에 아마디네자드 대통령과 같은 자리에 앉지 않겠다고 밝힌 바 있습니다.

Iran's foreign minister failed to attend a meeting with his French counterpart Saturday, one day ahead of international talks on Afghanistan in Paris.
Manouchehr Mottaki had been scheduled to meet with French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, but the meeting was called off.
No reason was given, and it is also unclear who will represent Iran at the conference.
The cancellation of the foreign ministers' meeting came two days after Iran summoned the French ambassador in Tehran (Bernard Poletti)to protest remarks by President Nicolas Sarkozy that were critical of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The French president said Monday he will not sit at the same table with Mr. Ahmadinejad because he has called for the destruction of Israel.
