집권 국민당의 첸 슈중 대변인은 지난주 타이완을 방문한 중국 특사에 항의해 폭력시위가 벌어진 뒤, 중국측 방문단이 타이완 여행계획을 취소했다고 밝혔습니다.
중국의 천원린 특사는 지난 6일 타이완을 방문해 마잉주 총통과 5분간 회담했습니다. 타이완 측은 시위대를 피하기 위해 회담 시간을 5시간 앞당겼지만, 타이완의 독립을 지지하는 수천 명의 시위대가 회담장 밖에서 경찰과 대치했습니다. 지난 5일에는 천원린 특사가 연회에 참석한 호텔로 시위대가 몰려들어 천 특사가 몇시간 동안 호텔에서 발이 묶였습니다.

Officials in Taiwan say at least two official groups from mainland China have canceled planned trips to the island.
