중국과 타이완이 양안 직항 항공노선을 늘리고 항구를 상호 개방하기로 4일 합의했습니다.
양측은 현재 36편 운항하고 있는 양안 간 직항을 108편으로 늘리고 화물 직항기도 매달 60편씩 운항키로 했습니다. 이와 함께 양측은 타이완 해협을 통한 해운 직항도 실현하기로 합의했습니다. 양측은 또한 식품수입의 안전을 기하기 위해 식품검역경보체제도 갖추기로 했습니다.
중국 해협양안관계협회 천원린 회장과 대만 해협교류기금회 장빙쿤 이사장은 타이완의 수도 타이베이에서 이같이 합의했습니다. 천 회장은 1949년 국공내전 이후 대만을 방문한 중국 측 인사중 최고위급으로 기록됐습니다.
이에 앞서 3일 중국 대표단 60명이 타이완에 도착하자 대만분리독립주의자들이 시위를 벌이기도 했습니다.

Negotiators for China and Taiwan
signed agreements today (Tuesday)that will dramatically expand
transportation links.
The four deals increase the number of weekly passenger flights between the two
sides from 36 to 108. For the first time, they will allow 60 cargo flights per
month, and the opening of direct shipping links across the Taiwan Strait.
The two also agreed to establish a food safety alert system to respond to
possible tainted food imports.
After signing the agreements in Taiwan's capital, Taipei, visiting Chinese
envoy Chen Yunlin and his Taiwanese counterpart, Chiang Pin-kung shook hands
and sipped champagne.
Chen is the highest-ranking Chinese official to visit the island since the two
sides split during a civil war in 1949.
Pro-independence advocates greeted the arrival of the 60-member Chinese
delegation on Monday with protests.
