인도 경찰은 지난 달 30일 북동부 아삼 주에서 77명이 사망한 폭탄 테러와 관련해 최소 3명을 체포했다고 1일 밝혔습니다.
경찰에 따르면 체포자 가운데 한 명은 잘 알려지지 않은 '이슬람 보안군 인도 무자히딘'이란 단체가 문자메시지를 보낼 때 쓴 것으로 추정되는 휴대전화를 갖고 있었습니다. 이 단체는 이번 테러를 자신들이 감행했다고 주장하고 있습니다.
경찰 고위 당국자는 다른 2명 소유의 차와 오토바이가 폭탄테러에 쓰인 것으로 보여 이들을 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
한편, 만모한 싱 인도 총리는 이 날 이번 폭발로 부상한 3백여 명을 만나기 위해 아삼주 주도인 구와하티를 방문했습니다. 이 지역 4개 도시에서 한 시간만에 폭탄 최소 12개가 폭발했었습니다.

Indian police say they have
arrested at least three people in connection with Thursday's bombings that
killed 77 people in the northeastern state of Assam.
They say those arrested include a man whose cell phone was allegedly used by a
little-known group called "Islamic Security -Force - Indian
Mujahedeen" (ISF-ISM) to send a text message claiming
responsibility for the blasts.
A senior police official (Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta) says two other people
were taken into custody because their car and motorcycle were believed used in
the bombings.
Also today (Saturday), Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh traveled to
Guwahati, the capital of Assam state, to visit some of the 300 people wounded
in the blasts. At least 12 bombs exploded within an hour of each other in four
towns.
