국제통화기금, IMF는 도미니크 스트로스 칸 IMF 총재가 하급 직원과 부적절한 관계를 가졌다는 주장들에 대해 조사하고 있습니다.
미국의 경제전문지인 월스트릿 저널는 지난 18일 IMF 법률가들이 칸 총재 혐의에 대한 독자적인 조사에 착수했다고 처음으로 보도했습니다.
이번 조사는 칸 총재가 한때 IMF 직원이었던 피로스카 나기와 부적절한 관계를 맺는 과정에서 지위를 남용했는 지의 여부를 가리기 위한 것입니다.
스트로스 칸 총재는 프랑스 재무장관 출신으로 IMF 총재로서의 권한을 남용한 적이 없다고 부인하면서 조사관들에게 협력할 것이라고 말하고 있습니다.
이에 관한 한 보고서는 이달 말에 나올 것으로 예상됩니다.

The International Monetary Fund is
investigating allegations that its chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, had an
improper relationship with a female employee.
IMF lawyers have opened an independent probe into the charges, first reported
Saturday by "The Wall Street Journal."
The probe will look into whether Strauss-Khan abused his power as IMF managing
director by showing favoritism to Piroska Nagy -- an IMF official who has since
left the fund.
Strauss-Kahn is a former French finance minister. He denies ever abusing his
position at the fund, and says he is cooperating with investigators.
A report on the case is expected by the end of the month.
