해외 5개국 순방에 나선 우고 차베스 베네수엘라 대통령이 23일 두 번째 방문지인 중국에 도착했습니다.
차베스 대통령은 중국 도착에 앞서 양국이 6십억 달러의 합작개발 기금을 재충원 하는데 합의할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
중국 외교부 대변인은 차베스 대통령이 후진타오 중국 국가주석과 만날 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.
중국과 베네수엘라는 또한 합작 유조선과 최소 한 개의 정제소 건설을 추진할 계획입니다.
차베스 대통령은 미국시장에 대한 베네수엘라의 의존도를 줄이기 위해 중국에 대한 원유수출량을 대폭 늘리는 방안을 강구하고 있습니다.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrived in China today (Tuesday)on a
three-day visit that is expected to focus on boosting economic ties.
Before arriving in China, Mr. Chavez said it was likely that the two countries
would agree to replenish a six billion dollar joint development fund.
A Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman (Jiang Yu) said Mr. Chavez would
meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao.
China and Venezuela are also working out plans to construct tanker vessels and
at least one oil refinery.
Mr. Chavez is seeking to increase his country's oil exports to China, to lower
Venezuela's dependence on the U.S. market.
China says about four percent of its imported oil comes from Venezuela.
