아프리카 짐바브웨의 로버트 무가베 대통령과 모건 창기라이 야당 지도자가 어제 짐바브웨의 오랜 정국 위기를 끝내기 위한 권력 분점 협상을 타결했습니다.
양측의 구체적인 합의 내용은 오는15일 공식 발표될 전망입니다. 짐바브웨 언론과 야당 인사들은 권력 분점 합의에 따라 무가베 대통령이 대통령직을 계속 유지하고 창기라이 야당 총재가 총리직을 맡게 될 것이라고 전했습니다.
이와 함께 무가베 대통령이 이끄는 집권 짐바브웨아프리카민족동맹-애국전선이 15개 장관직을 차지하고 창기라이 총재의 민주변화당과 다른 소수 야당에게는13개와 3개의 장관직이 각각 돌아갈 것으로 알려졌습니다.

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan
Tsvangirai agreed Thursday to a power-sharing deal to end the country's long
political crisis.
Details of the agreement are not expected to be formally announced until
Monday.
But media reports from Zimbabwe and opposition officials say the unity
government will see Mr. Mugabe retain the presidency and Tsvangirai become
prime minister.
They also say Mr. Mugabe's ZANU-PF party will have 15 cabinet seats,
Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change will get 13 and three seats will go
to a smaller opposition breakaway faction.
The mediator of the talks, South African President Thabo Mbeki, said he is
certain Zimbabwe's leaders are committed to implementing the agreement.
The two sides had been deadlocked over how President Mugabe and Tsvangirai
would divide power in a national unity government.
