미국과 인도의 민수용 핵협정이 전세계 핵거래를 관장하는 핵공급 그룹 회의에서 반대에 부딪혔습니다.
오스트리아 비엔나에서 이틀 일정으로 열린 핵공급그룹 회의에서 일부 회원국가들은 이번 회의가 끝나는 오늘까지 인도의 핵 연료, 핵기술 수입을 허용할지 여부에 관해 최종 결정이 나오기 어려울 것임을 시사했습니다.
특히 호주와, 아일랜드, 뉴질랜드, 노르웨이, 스위스 등이 미국과 인도의 핵협정에 대해 유보적인 태도를 보이고 있습니다. 인도는 핵실험을 했지만 핵확산금지조약에 가입하지 않았습니다.
미국과 인도 정부는 핵공급그룹이 무조건적인 핵거래를 허용하기를 원하고 있습니다.

landmark U.S.-India nuclear cooperation deal has run into resistance at a two-day
meeting of the 45-member Nuclear Supplier Group in Vienna.
Several member countries suggested it was unlikely that a final decision on
whether to waive restrictions and give India access to imports of atomic fuel
and technology will be made by the time the meeting wraps up Friday.
Austria, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland are among the countries
that have expressed reservations about the agreement. India has tested atomic
weapons and has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Both New Delhi and Washington are pressing for a "clean and
unconditional" waiver for India. But some member nations of the suppliers
group are likely to push for certain conditions, including voiding the waiver
if India conducts another nuclear weapons test.
