일본 해군 함정이 제2차 세계대전이후 처음으로 다음주 중국에 기항할 예정입니다.
양국은 관계 개선을 위한 군사 교류를 진행하고 있습니다.
일본 해상자위대 소속 미사일 구축함 '사자나미'호가 24일에서 28일 중국 광둥성의 군항인 잔장항에 입항할 계획입니다.
방문 기간동안, 중국과 일본 군인들은 여러건의 문화 교류 행사를 진행할 계획입니다.
일본은 1930년대와 40년대 중국의 대부분의
지역을 점령했었고, 이 문제를 둘러싸고 아직 논란이 있기 때문에 중국과 일본의 군사 교류는 민감한 문제입니다.
하지만 양국 관계는 지난 2년간 급속히 개선되어 왔습니다.
지난 5월 후진타오 중국 국가 주석은 중국 지도자로는 10년 만에 처음으로 일본을 방문했습니다. 또 2007년 11월 중국 해군 군함으로는 처음으로 미사일 구축함 선전호가 일본을 방문했습니다.

A Japanese naval ship will visit China next week as part of
a military exchange aimed at improving bilateral ties.
The naval destroyer Sazanami is scheduled to visit the navy port of Zhanjiang,
in China's southern Guangdong province, from June 24th thru the 28th.
During the visit, Chinese and Japanese crew members will hold several cultural
exchange events.
The visit is the first Japanese military vessel to go to China since World War
Two.
Military ties between the two countries are a sensitive issue, with Japan's
invasion and occupation of much of China in the 1930s and 1940s still a strong
point of contention.
But relations have been on the mend over the past two years.
In May, Chinese President Hu Jintao became the first leader from China to visit
Japan in 10 years. Last November, a naval ship from China visited Japan, a
first for naval forces of the People's Liberation Army.
