버마 군사정부가 강력한 열대성 태풍 희생자를 돕기 위한 유엔 구호요원 모두에게 입국사증을 발급했다고, 유엔이 밝혔습니다.
유엔 인도주의 업무 조정국은 28일, 유엔이 신청한 45건의 입국사증이 모두 발급되었다고 말했습니다.
버마 정부가 자체적으로 원조 물자를 배급할 것이라고 주장하면서 교착 상태가 초래된 지 약 3주일 만에 그같은 조치가 취해짐에 따라, 다른 원조들도 보다 자유롭게 이뤄질 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.
구호 전문가들은 반기문 유엔 사무총장이 지난 주 버마를 방문해 조건없는 외국 원조는 환영을 받을 것이라는 약속을 받아낸 이후 접근이 개선되고 있다고 말하고 있습니다.

The United Nations relief agency says Burma's military government has granted all remaining visa requests by U.N. personnel aiming to help cyclone victims, after agreeing late last week to allow more access to outside aid workers.
The Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said today (Wednesday) that Burma has granted all of the 45 visas the U.N. had requested.
Other aid seems to be flowing more freely as well, after three weeks of near-deadlock as the Burmese government insisted on handling distribution of aid itself.
The government-run "New Light of Myanmar" newspaper reports that private donors inside Burma are now allowed to deliver supplies to cyclone victims in the Irrawaddy Delta, where authorities have previously tried to stop volunteers from entering.
Relief experts say access has improved since U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon traveled to Burma last week and got commitments that unconditional foreign aid is welcome.
