수단 국방부 장관이 비행기 추락사고로 사망했다고, 당국자들이 말했습니다.
도미니크 딤 국방장관은 수단 남부에서 2일 추락한 비행기에 탑승했던 23명 가운데 한 명이었습니다.
수단 남부의 지방 정부 당국자들은 생존자는 없다고 말했습니다. 사망자 가운데는 수단 남부의 지도자 살바 키르의 보좌관 1명과 다수의 군 당국자들이 포함됐습니다.
이번에 추락한 비행기는 남부도시 와우를 떠나 수도 주바로 향하던 전세기였습니다. 남부 수단의 리에크 마카르 부통령은 수도에서 서쪽으로 3백 75킬로미터 떨어진 곳에서 비행기가 추락했다고 말했습니다.

Officials say southern Sudan's defense minister has been killed in a plane crash.
Defense Minister Dominic Dim was one of 23 people aboard the plane that crashed in southern Sudan today (Friday).
Officials from southern Sudan's regional government say there were no survivors. Among those killed was (Justin Yak) an advisor to southern Sudan leader Salva Kiir, and a number of military officers.
The chartered plane was flying from the city of Wau to the southern capital, Juba. Southern Sudan Vice President Riek Machar says it went down about 375 kilometers west of the capital.
Machar ruled out an attack on the plane, saying the crash appeared to be caused by a mechanical failure.
Southern Sudan has been at odds with the north over implementation of the 2005 peace deal that ended a 21-year civil war.
