러시아 정부가 영국 에너지 회사 BP의 러시아 천연가스 합작회사 TNK-BP에 대해 약 2억 6천만 달러에 이르는 체납 세금을 요구하고 나섰습니다.
TNK-BP는 지난해 러시아 정부로부터 러시아의 국영 에너지 독점 회사인 가즈프롬에 시베리아 가스 유정의 주식을 팔라는 압력을 받은 바 있습니다.
러시아 정부는 또 지난 달 TNK-BP의 모스크바 사무실을 급습해 직원 한 명을 간첩혐의로 체포했습니다.

Russia is demanding nearly 260-million dollars in back taxes from a natural gas joint venture involving the British energy firm BP.
The TNK-BP joint venture says the tax demands cover revenues from 2004 and 2005.
TNK-BP came under pressure from Moscow last year to sell its interest in a major Siberian gas field to Russia's state-run energy monopoly Gazprom. Russian agents raided the venture's Moscow corporate offices in March and arrested an official on spy charges.
Earlier this month, Russian lawmakers approved measures limiting foreign enterprises to a less than 50 percent stake in 42 strategic sectors. Western analysts say the legislation is part of Moscow's recent push to bring major oil and gas assets under Russian control.
