이브라힘 감바리 유엔 특사가 버마에 방문한지 3일만에 버마의 야당 지도자 아웅산 수치 여사를 오늘 두 번째 면담했습니다.
노벨평화상을 수상한 바 있는 아웅산 수치 여사는 감바리 특사와 한 시간 정도 만났으나 구체적인 면담 내용은 알려지지 않았습니다. 수치 여사와 감바리 특사는 지난 8일에도 만났습니다.
감바리 특사는 오늘 버마를 떠나기에 앞서 버마의 크야우 흐산 정보 장관을 다시 만납니다.
감바리 특사는 버마 군사 정부측에 오는 5월로 예정된 헌법 개정을 위한 국민투표에 유엔 참관단을 보내겠다고 제안했으나, 군사정부는 국민투표가 주권에 관한 문제라며 제안을 거부했습니다.

Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi met for a second time in three days today (Monday) with visiting U.N. envoy Ibrahim Gambari.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and the U.N. diplomat talked for nearly an hour. Details of their talks have not been released.
Aung San Suu Kyi, who has spent 12 of the last 18 years under house arrest, also spoke with Gambari on Saturday.
Gambari was also to meet again with Information Minister Kyaw Hsan before leaving Burma later in the day.
The U.N. says Gambari met Sunday with Burma's ministers for health and national planning, as well as the chairman of civil service and the country's deputy foreign minister. No details on the meetings were released.
