미 국방부는 이번 주초에 사건현장에서 찍은 것이라는 비데오 테이프를 공개한 바 있습니다. 이 비데오는 호르무즈 해협에서 여러 척의 이란 쾌속정들이 미 함정들 주위를 맴돌며 위협하는 장면을 보여주었습니다. 또 녹음 테이프는 한 남자가 억센 억양의 영어로 미 함정들이 곧 폭파될 것이라고 위협하는 말이 흘러나왔습니다.

The U.S. Defense Department says Iranian patrol boats acted in a hostile manner toward U.S. Navy ships in the Persian Gulf last Sunday -- even though questions have emerged about threatening remarks heard during the incident.
A Pentagon spokesman, Bryan Whitman, said today (Friday) the Iranian boats acted in a "reckless, careless" and "hostile" manner.
Whitman said the question of whether the communications heard on the bridge of a U.S. Navy ship during Sunday's incident came from the Iranian boats does not diminish what he called "the hostile nature of the encounter."
The Pentagon released a video and audio recording earlier this week that it said came from Sunday's incident. The video showed several small boats swarming around U.S. warships in the Strait of Hormuz. On the audio tape, a man speaking in heavily accented English said the ships would explode in minutes.
Some U.S. Navy officials have raised questions about the source of the threatening remarks.
Iranian officials have accused the U.S. military of fabricating the video and recording.
