이라크 주둔 미군 당국은 연합군 병력이 27일 바그다드 동남쪽 쿠트 마을에서 11명의 테러 용의자들을 사살했다고 밝혔습니다.

또한 미군은 바그다드 북쪽의 무크다디야 인근에서 26일 끝난 나흘간의 작전 중에 테러용의자 12명을 사살하고 37명을 체포했다고 전했습니다.

The U.S. military in Iraq says coalition forces killed 11 suspected terrorists today (Thursday) during an operation southeast of Baghdad.
The military says the operation in the town of Kut targeted "special groups" militants involved in attacks on coalition forces and their supporters. The term is used to describe Shi'ite fighters who have broken away from the Mahdi Army, controlled by radical cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.
In another development, the military says coalition forces detained 19 suspects (today/Thursday) during operations targeting al-Qaida in Iraq in central and northern Iraq.
Separately, Iraqi police say a bomb blew up a bus in eastern Baghdad today, killing two passengers and wounding at least 10 other people.
Also today, the U.S. military announced its troops killed 12 suspected terrorists and detained 37 others during a four-day operation that ended Tuesday near Muqdadiyah, north of Baghdad.
