이 남성은 47세로 수도 자카르타 남부의 탱저랭 마을에서 거주하던 것으로 알려졌습니다. 이 남성은 12월 초 조유독감 감염 증세를 보이기 시작했으며 이후 병원으로 후송됐습니다.
인도네시아는 2003년 조류독감이 발병한 이후 전세계에서 가장 감염자와 사망자가가 많은 나라로서, 현재 115명의 조류독감 환자가 있습니다.
세계보건기구 WHO는 조류독감으로 전 세계적으로 200명 이상이 지금까지 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.

The latest victim is a 47-year-old from the town of Tangerang, located near the capital of Jakarta. He first began showing signs of illness earlier this month, and was admitted to a hospital in Jakarta, where he died Thursday night.
A total of 115 people in Indonesia have been infected with the virulent strain of bird flu, making it the worst affected country since the outbreak began in 2003.
The World Health Organization says more than 200 people have died of bird flu worldwide.
