터키 정부는 늘어나는 에너지 수요를 충당하고, 해외 에너지 수입의존도를 줄이기 위해 오는 2015년까지 3기의 원자력발전소를 건설할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.

The Turkish parliament has approved a bill allowing for the construction of nuclear power plants, despite stiff opposition from environmentalists.
The legislation approved today (Friday) authorizes the government to accept bids for construction of the plants as well as establish a state company to run them.
The measure needs approval from Turkish President Abdullah Gul, who took office in August.
The Turkish government has said it plans to build three power plants by 2015 to meet the country's growing energy needs and lessen its dependency on foreign energy supplies.
Earlier plans to build a nuclear power plant were scrapped due to funding problems.
