백악관은 두 지도자 회담에 아프가니스탄 상황, 이란 핵 무기 획득 방지, 다르푸르 대량학살 종식, 버마의 민주적 변화 촉진 등이 포함될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
두 지도자는 또한 중동평화과정과 레바논 대통령 선거 외세 개입 방지, 코소보 지위 문제에 대한 평화적 해결책 강구 방안도 논의할 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy meets with President George W. Bush in Washington today (Tuesday), as their governments attempt to rebuild closer relations.
Mr. Sarkozy is expected to attend a formal dinner hosted by Mr. Bush at the White House tonight. The two will continue discussions Wednesday at Mount Vernon, the home of the first U.S. president, George Washington.
The White House has said their talks will include the situation in Afghanistan, preventing Iran from attaining nuclear weapons, ending genocide in Darfur and fostering democratic change in Burma.
The two men are also expected to discuss the Middle East peace process, preventing foreign interference in Lebanon's presidential elections and forging a peaceful resolution of the status of Kosovo.
Relations between Washington and Paris have warmed since Mr. Sarkozy's election earlier this year. His predecessor, Jacques Chirac, was a fierce critic of the war in Iraq.
