이란의 마무드 아마디네자드 대통령은 이스라엘이 홀로코스트를 팔레스타인 국가들에 대한 범죄를 자행하기 위한 구실로 삼고 있다고 말하고 이스라엘을 강력히 비난했습니다.
아마디네자드 대통령은 5일 알-쿠즈의 날을 맞아 팔레스타인인들과 함께 대규모 연례 행진이 열린 자리에서 이같이 말했습니다.
이날 행사에서 참석한 이란인 수만명은 “이스라엘과 미국에 죽음”을 이라는 구호를 외치며 미국 국기와 이스라엘 국기를 불태웠습니다.
아마디네자드 대통령은 이란과 다른 국가들은 팔레스타인이 해방될 때까지 쉬지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다. 아마디네자드 대통령은 또 이란 국민은 “이란의 절대적인 핵 권리”에 대해 협상할 준비가 돼 있지 않다고 말하며 이란 핵 프로그램에 대한 국제 회의를 개최하기를 거부했습니다.
아마디네자드 대통령은 앞서 이스라엘을 지도에서 제거할 것을 촉구하며, 홀로코스트를 “만들어낸 이야기”라고 표현한 바 있습니다.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has again lashed out at Israel, accusing the Jewish state of using the Holocaust as a pretext for committing crimes against the Palestinians.
Mr. Ahmadinejad made the comment today (Friday) in a speech to mark al-Quds day, when Iran holds its annual mass marches in solidarity with the Palestinians. Tens of thousands of Iranians turned out for the march in Tehran, chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel," and burning American and Israeli flags.
Mr. Ahmadinejad said Iran and other countries will not stop until all of the Palestinian territory is liberated. He also rejected holding talks on Iran's nuclear program, saying the Iranian people are not ready to discuss what he described as "their absolute nuclear rights."
The Iranian leader has previously called for Israel to be "wiped off the map," and has described the Holocaust as a "myth."
The United States and its allies accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon -- a charge Tehran denies.
