한국의 노무현 대통령은 내일부터 열리는 남북한 정상회담에서 분단된 한반도에 좀 더 영구적인 평화를 정착 하는 방안을 집중 논의 할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다.
노 대통령은 또 남북한의 군사관계 개선, 평화 조약, 심지어 무장해제를 논의할 의사도 있다고 말했습니다.
노 대통령은 2일 남북한을 가로지르는 군사분계선을 걸어서 통과한 후, 차편으로 북한의 수도 평양으로 향할 예정입니다.
노 대통령은 또 김영남 북한 최고인민회의 상임위원장이 마련하는 환영 오찬에 참석합니다. 노 대통령은 김정일 국방위원장과 함께 북한의 아리랑 집단체조를 관람할 예정이지만, 두정상의 정확한 회담 일자는 아직 알려지지 않고 있습니다.

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun says he will push for a more permanent peace on the divided Korean peninsula during his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il this week.
Mr. Roh says if the summit discussions are serious, he is willing to talk about improving military relations, a peace treaty, and even disarmament.
The South Korean leader will begin his trip to the North Tuesday by walking across the military border separating the countries. His vehicle convoy will then drive to the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.
He is to attend a welcoming luncheon with Kim Yong Nam, who presides over North Korea's parliament. It is not clear when Mr. Roh will hold talks with Kim Jong Il, although officials say the two leaders will attend the North's colorful Arirang festival (of choreographed performances) together.
The summit is due to run through Thursday.
