아마디네자드 대통령은 23일 미국 뉴욕에 도착해 24일 콜럼비아 대학에서 열리는 행사에 참석할 예정입니다. 아마디네자드 대통령은 또 오는 25일 유엔 총회에서 연설할 계획입니다. 그는 지난 2년간 유엔 총회 연설을 위해 매 번 미국을 방문해왔습니다.
아마디네자드 대통령은 미국으로 떠나기 전 기자들에게 미국인들에게 세계 문제를 해결하기 위한 이란의 견해를 제시하는 데 대해 기대를 갖고 있다고 말했습니다. 그는 미국인들이 다른 견해를 듣는 기회를 거부해왔다고 말했습니다.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has left Tehran for a visit to the United States, where he says he wants to explain Iran's views on solving world problems.
The Iranian president is scheduled to arrive in New York today (Sunday) for a visit that has him appearing at a Columbia University forum Monday.
Mr. Ahmadinejad also is scheduled to address the U.N. General Assembly Tuesday. He has visited the United States to address the world body in each of the last two years.
Before leaving for the United States, Mr. Ahmadinejad told reporters today that he looks forward to presenting Iran's views about world problems to Americans. He said Americans have been denied a chance to hear different voices.
