북한과 핵시설 불능화 방안을 협의하기 위한 핵 전문가들이 11일 평양에 도착했습니다.
이번 대표단의 단장인 김성 미 국무부 한국과장을 비롯한 미국측 대표단은 이날 판문점을 통과해 평양 고려호텔에 도착했습니다. 이어 중국과 러시아 전문가들도 이날 오후 비행기편으로 평양 순안 공항이 도착했습니다.
미국,중국,러시아 핵 전문가등 9명으로 구성된 대표단은 15일까지 북한에 머물며 영변의 5MW 원자로와 핵 재처리 시설, 핵 연료공장 등을 둘러봅니다. 이들은 또 북측 관계자들과 핵 시설을 불능화 하기위한 기술적 방안을 협의하게 됩니다.
이들은 북한 핵시설 불능화 방안을 마련한 후 그 내용을 차기 6자회담 본회의에 보고할 예정입니다.
이달 하순께 열릴 것으로 전망되는 차기 6자회담에서 각국 수석 대표들은 이 내용을 추인한 뒤 비핵화 2단계 이행 방안 합의문에 반영하게 됩니다.

A team of U.S. officials is in North Korea on a rare visit to review Pyongyang's efforts to disarm its nuclear program.
The U.S. team traveled from South Korea across the heavily fortified border into North Korea today (Tuesday). It will be joined by experts from Russia and China during a five-day survey of key North Korean nuclear facilities.
This visit is part of international efforts to end North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
China, South Korea, Japan, Russia and the United States have offered North Korea fuel aid and political concessions if the reclusive state fully accounts for and seals its nuclear weapons program.
Pyongyang tested a nuclear weapon last year, but it sealed its main nuclear complex (at Yongbyon) this year as part of the disarmament process.
