Afghan officials say at least 27 people were killed when a suicide bomber on a motorbike detonated explosives in a crowded area in southern Afghanistan.
At least 45 other people were wounded.
Afghan officials say the attacker was targeting police. At least 13 policemen were killed in the blast.
The explosion was in the town of Gereshk, in Helmand province, which has seen some of the worst violence by the Taleban over the past 18 months.
