이스라엘 경찰은 신 나치주의 폭력 단체에 소속된 이스라엘 청년 여러 명을 체포했다고 9일 밝혔습니다. 이들은 외국인 노동자와 마약 중독자, 유대인에 대해 공격을 가한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.
경찰 당국은 9일 구소련 연방 출신 이민자 8명이 최근 며칠 간 최소 15차례 공격을 가한 혐의로 구금됐다고 밝혔습니다. 다른 용의자 한 명은 해외로 도피했다고, 당국은 밝혔습니다.
이들 용의자 모두는 10대 후반이나 20대 초반으로 이스라엘 시민권을 갖고 있습니다.
경찰 대변인은 용의자들의 가택을 수색한 결과 나찌 유니폼과 히틀러 초상화, 칼, 총과 폭발물 등이 발견됐다고 밝혔습니다. 대변인은 또 용의자들이 자신들의 활동을 영상과 사진으로 기록했다고 밝혔습니다.

Police in Israel say they have arrested several young Israelis who are alleged to belong to a gang of neo-Nazis accused of attacks on foreign workers, drug addicts and religious Jews.
Police officials said today (Sunday) eight immigrants from the former Soviet Union were taken into custody over the past several days in connection with at least 15 attacks. A ninth suspect had fled the country.
All of the suspects are in their late teens or early 20's and have Israeli citizenship.
A police spokesman said searches of the suspects' homes turned up Nazi uniforms, portraits of Adolf Hitler, knives, guns and explosives. He said the group documented its activities on film and in photographs.
Israel was founded nearly 60 years ago as a refuge for Jews in the wake of the Nazi Holocaust.
