China's state-run media say intense winds, rain and landslides brought on by Typhoon Sepat have killed 33 people and left 9 missing in southeastern China.
The Xinhua news agency says the hardest hit provinces include Jiangxi, Fujian and Zhejiang.
It says the typhoon has affected 150-thousand people, destroyed more than one-million homes and caused economic losses of almost 18-million dollars.
Typhoon Sepat hit Fujian province early Sunday, and has since weakened into a tropical storm.
Chinese authorities evacuated almost one-million people from Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong provinces after the typhoon cut power to thousands of homes in Taiwan and the Philippines on Saturday.
