북대서양 조약기구-나토는 아프가니스탄에서 탈레반 저항세력과 두 차례 전투가 벌어져 나토군 병사 세 명과 아프가니스탄군 병사 한 명이 숨졌다고 밝혔습니다.
27일 동부 누리스탄주에서 벌어진 전투에서 나토군 병사 한 명과 아프가니스탄 병사 한 명이 숨졌습니다.
또한 이 과정에서 나토군 병사 13명과 아프가니스탄 병사 한명, 또 민간인 한 명이 부상했습니다.
아프가니스탄 남부에서도 탈레반 반군과의 전투에서 나토군 병사 한 명이 숨졌습니다.
아직까지 숨진 병사들의 국적은 공개되지 않았습니다.
영국 국방부는 28일 아프가니스탄의 남부 헬만드주에서 27일 영국군 병사 한 명이 로켓탄 공격으로 숨졌다고 밝혔습니다. 지난 2001년 미국이 아프가니스탄에서 탈레반 정권을 몰아낸 이후 지난 18달 동안 특히 폭력사태가 증가하면서 사상자가 많이 발생했습니다.

Two NATO soldiers along with an Afghan soldier were killed Friday while fighting
insurgents in the eastern province of Nuristan. Thirteen other NATO troops were
wounded, as well as an Afghan soldier and a civilian.
The third NATO soldier was killed in southern Afghanistan. NATO has not revealed nationalities of the dead soldiers.
The British Ministry of Defense announced today (Saturday) that one of its soldier was
killed in a rocket attack in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province Friday.
Violence has surged in Afghanistan during the past 18 months - the bloodiest period
since U.S.-led troops overthrew the Taleban in 2001.
