이 성명은 또 용의자들이 폭발물 형태의 발사체 등 무기를 이란으로부터 이라크로 밀반입한 조직과 연계된 것으로 보인다고 말했습니다.
한편 22일 오전 누리 알-말리키 이라크 총리는 의회가 8월에 계획된 여름 휴회를 줄이거나 취소하고, 이라크 안보에 중대한 법안을 우선 통과시켜야 한다고 촉구했습니다.
이라크 의회는 앞서 8월에 휴회를 가질 계획이었으나, 미국은 종파간 분쟁과 관련된 법안 처리를 위해 말리키 총리의 이라크 의회를 압박하고 있습니다

Coalition Forces in Iraq Detain 2 Suspected Weapons Smugglers
Coalition forces in Iraq have detained two suspected weapons smugglers the U.S. military says may have ties to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Qods force.
The military issued a statement saying the suspects and weapons were seized during a raid on a rural farm compound in eastern Iraq.
The military statement says the suspects may be linked to a network that has been smuggling Explosively Formed Projectiles (EFP's) and other weapons, personnel and money from Iran into Iraq.
Earlier today (Sunday) Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki urged parliament to cancel or shorten its August (summer) break to pass laws he considers crucial to Iraq's stability.
Parliament was scheduled to adjourn for all of August, but American officials have been pressing Mr. Maliki and parliament to pass laws aimed at curbing sectarian violence and healing divisions between majority Shi'ite Arabs, minority Sunni Arabs and Kurds.
