이라크 주둔 미군당국은 오늘(13일) 전국에서 기습작전을 펼쳐 테러분자 9명을 사살하고 20명을 구금했다고 밝혔습니다.
미군은 오늘 발표한 성명에서 이란의 병참지원속에 폭력과 미군공격을 주도한 저항세력의 고위간부 1명을 바그다드에서 체포했다고 덧붙였습니다.
성명은 체포된 용의자가 이라크 파출소 부소장급인 현역 경찰이라고 밝히고 미연합군이 기습작전을 펼치자 무장 전투원들과 이라크 경찰이 연합군을 향해 포격을 가했다고 말했습니다.
미군은 이번 충돌로 테러분자 7명과 이라크 경찰 6명이 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.

A powerful typhoon is making landfall on Japan's southern Okinawa islands.
Typhoon Man-yi is lashing the main Okinawan city of Naha today (Friday). The storm, with wind gusts up to 252 kilometers an hour, has caused airlines to cancel hundreds of flights.
As the storm moves north at 20 kilometers an hour, Japan's meteorological agency is warning of torrential rain and flooding.
Forecasters say it may reach the island of Kyushu by early Saturday.
Typhoon winds are whipping up huge waves, causing considerable damage.
Japan is prone to typhoons. Last year, typhoon Shanshan killed nine people and injured hundreds more.
