인도네시아는 조류독감 피해가 가장 큰 나라로, 그동안 1백1명이 조류독감에 감염되고, 그 가운데 80명이 숨졌습니다.
조류독감의 인체감염은 조류독감에 걸리거나 이 병으로 죽은 닭과 오리와 접촉함으로써 발생합니다.
그러나 과학자들은 사람들 사이에 쉽게 전염될 수 있는 형태로 조류독감 바이러스가 변형될 지 모른다며 우려하고 있습니다.
인도네시아는 조류독감 백신을 개발하기 위해 미국 회사와 협력하기로 합의했습니다.
