모하메드 엘바라데이 국제원자력기구 사무총장은 이란이 앞으로 수개월내에 과거의 핵계획에 관한 질문에 답변할 것이라고 말했습니다.
엘바라데이 사무총장은 22일 빈에서 이란의 핵협상 수석대표 알리 라리자니와 회담을 마친 후에 이같이 밝혔습니다.
라리자니는 또 오는 23일 포르투갈 수도 리스본에서 유럽연합의 자비에르 솔라나 외교집행위원과 회담할 예정입니다.
이란은 모스타파 푸르-모하마디 이란 내무장관이 현재 이란이 100킬로그램의 농축우라늄과 150톤의 우라늄 가스를 갖고 있다고 한 보도를 부인했습니다.
이란의 한 통신은 지난 21일 모하마디 장관이 한 연설에서 이같이 밝혔다고 보도한 바 있습니다.
이란 내무부는 그러나 22일 성명을 발표하고, 모하마디 장관의 말이 와전됐다고 해명했습니다.

International Atomic Energy Agency Director Mohamed ElBaradei says Iran will be ready to answer questions about its past nuclear program within a few months.
ElBaradei made the statement today (Friday) after meeting in Vienna with Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani.
On Saturday, Larijani is expected to meet in Portugal with European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana.
Iran has denied a report that quoted the country's interior minister (Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi) as saying Iran has 100 kilograms of enriched uranium and more than 150 tons of uranium gas. An Iranian news agency reported that the minister made the remarks in a speech late Thursday. But Iran's Interior Ministry issued a statement today saying the minister was misquoted.
The United Nations Security Council has imposed two rounds of limited sanctions on Iran for its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, which can be used either to build a nuclear weapon or to generate power.
