북한은 평양에서 열리고 있는 6.15 공동선언 발표 7주년 기념 민족통일대축전 이틀째 행사를 모두 취소했습니다.
한국의 언론들은 15일 북한이 금수산기념궁전 참배 때 결례를 범했다는 이유로 한국 한나라당 박계동 의원의 주석단 입장을 막은 후 이날 행사를 취소했다고 보도했습니다.
북측은 남측의 한나라당 박 의원을 주석단에 앉힐 수 없기 때문이라고 그 이유를 밝혔습니다.
한편 북한은 이번 민족통일대축전에서 남측 민족화해협력 범국민협의회 의장 자격으로 참가한 정세현 전 통일부장관의 발언에 항의했습니다. 전 전 장관은 14일 저녁 인민문화궁전에서 열린 북측 주최 환영연회에서 건배사를 통해 이 땅에 통일에 도움이 되는 평화가 뿌리내리도록 하기 위해 주변국가들이 아니라, 민족이 주축이 되는 평화 논의를 먼저 시작해야 한다면서 그런 점에서 2차 남북정상회담도 하루 빨리 열려야 한다고 촉구했습니다.

North Korea has called off all scheduled events at a joint celebration with South Korea marking the seventh anniversary of an historic summit between the two countries.
South Korean media reports today (Friday) say Pyongyang canceled the events after a South Korean delegate, Park Kye-dong, allegedly showed disrespect when he visited a shrine.
North Korean officials responded to the incident by blocking Park from attending a separate gathering.
On Thursday, Pyongyang protested a speech delivered by a former South Korean minister (Jeong Se-hyun), in which the official suggested calling for a second inter-Korean summit. The North called the remark a breach of protocol and tried to prevent that portion of the speech from being broadcast.
The two Koreas held their first and only summit in 2000.
