나토군은 6일 남부 아프가니스탄에서 각각 별도의 저항세력들과의 전투중 2명의 나토 군이 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.
영국 국방부는 성명에서 사망한 2명의 병사중 한 명은 영국군이라고 말했습니다. 성명은 이 병사가 그의 중대가 헬만드 주의 상부게레슈크 계곡의 탈레반 거점을 소탕하기 위해 접근하다가 무장세력들의 반격을 받고 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.
나머지 한명의 나토군 사망자의 신원은 밝혀지지 않았습니다.
올해 들어 지금까지 아프가니스탄에서 약 77명의 연합군이 사망했습니다.
한편, 남부 우루즈간 주에서 전개한 미국 주도 연합군과 아프간 군의 합동 군사작전에서 적어도 2명의 무장세력이 사살되고 9명이 구금됐습니다.

NATO says two of its soldiers were killed today (Wednesday) during separate clashes with insurgents in southern Afghanistan.
Britain's Defense Ministry later released a statement, saying one of the two soldiers was British. It says the soldier died after his company came under attack by militants as they tried to clear a Taleban compound in the Upper Gereshk Valley in Helmand province.
The identity of the other NATO soldier has not been announced.
Around 77 international troops have been killed so far this year in Afghanistan.
Elsewhere, in the southern province of Uruzgan, at least two militants were killed and nine others detained during a joint operation by U.S.-led coalition troops and Afghan forces.
In another incident, a local district chief in eastern Paktika province died of his injuries after a bomb he was attempting to defuse went off unexpectedly.
