아프간 정부는 탈레반 최고사령관 물라 다둘라의 유해와 납치된 5명의 보건 종사원들을 맞바꾸기로 했다는 일부 보도를 부인했습니다.
카림 라히마 대통령 대변인은 5일 미국의 소리방송에 하미드 카르자이 대통령이 인도주의적인 차원에서 물라 다둘라의 유해를 그의 가족들 품에 돌려줄 것을 지시했다고 밝혔습니다. 대변인은 여기에는 어떤 흥정도 없었고, 또 앞으로도 그럴 것이라고 말했습니다.
이에 앞서 또 다른 아프간 관계자들은 정부가 인질들의 석방을 위해 다둘라의 유해를 돌려줄 것이라고 밝힌 바 있습니다.
미군 주도의 연합군은 지난 5월 남부 아프가니스탄에서 물라 다둘라를 사살한 바 있습니다. 탈레반은 지난 3월 5명의 아프간 보건 종사원들을 납치했습니다.
한편, 물라 다둘라의 동생 만수르 다둘라는 아랍 위성텔레비전 알-자지라방송에서 그의 형이 사망한 후 알-카에다 지도자 오사마 빈-라덴이 위로의 편지를 보내왔다고 밝혔습니다. 후임 탈레반 최고사령관으로 임명된 만수르 다둘라는 현재 빈 라덴이 생존해 있으며, 건강하다고 말했습니다.

The spokesman for Afghan President Hamid Karzai has denied the government has made a deal to exchange the body of a top Taleban commander for the release of five kidnapped health workers.
In an interview with Voice of American (Pashto, Dari services), presidential spokesman, Karim Rahima, says President Karzai ordered the return of Mullah Dadullah's body to his family on humanitarian grounds. The spokesman said there is not and will never be a deal on this issue.
Earlier today (Tuesday), other Afghan officials said the government had agreed to return the body in exchange for the hostages' freedom.
U.S.-led forces killed Mullah Dadullah in southern Afghanistan last month. Taleban militants abducted the five Afghan health workers in March.
Meanwhile, the brother of Mullah Dadullah has told the Arab satellite television network, al-Jazeera, that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden sent him a condolence letter after the Taleban commander was killed.
Mansoor Dadullah, who has taken over as military leader of the Taleban, says bin Laden is alive and healthy.
