아프가니스탄의 탈레반 반군은 그동안 억류하고 있던 아프가니스탄인 구호요원 3명을 석방했습니다.
이들은 지난 4월초 프랑스인 동료 2명과 함께 납치됐었습니다.
탈레반 반군 대변인은 27일 서남부 님로즈주에서 26일밤 이들 아프가니스탄인들이 석방됐다고 밝혔습니다.
실제로 이들이 석방됐으며 현재 집으로 향하고 있다는 사실이 다른 소식통을 통해서도 확인이 됐습니다.
탈레반 반군 대변인은 조사결과 이들이 간첩 행위를 하지 않았다는 사실이 밝혀졌고, 님로즈주의 지방 장로들이 여러 차례 석방을 요청해왔기 때문에 이들을 석방했다고 밝혔습니다.
이들과 함께 납치됐던 프랑스인 구호요원들 역시 몇 주 전에 무사히 풀려난 바 있습니다.
탈레반은 이들의 석방조건으로 프랑스에 대해 나토군 소속으로 아프가니스탄에 주둔하고 있는 프랑스 군대를 철수시키라고 요구한 바 있습니다.
한편 남부 칸다하주에서 26일 탈레반 반군 잔당들이 경찰초소를 습격해 경찰과 충돌이 벌어져 경찰관 2명과 탈레반 병사 10명이 숨졌다고 아프가니스탄 경찰이 27일에 밝혔습니다.

The Taleban has released three Afghan aid workers the group abducted along with two of their French colleagues in early April.
A Taleban spokesman said today (Sunday) the Afghan men were freed late Saturday in southwestern Nimroz province.
Various sources have confirmed the men were released, and are on their way home.
The Taleban spokesman says the men were let go after they were found not guilty of espionage, and because of numerous requests by local elders in Nimroz.
The Taleban released the two French aid workers unharmed weeks ago.
The militant group had demanded France withdraw its troops serving with the NATO mission in Afghanistan in exchange for their release.
Separately, Afghan police said today (Sunday) two policemen and 10 Taleban militants were killed Saturday when the insurgents attacked a police post in (the Shah Walikot district of) southern Kandahar province.
