지난해 5천7백명의 사망자를 낸 인도네시아 지진참사 1주년을 맞아 자바섬 전역에서 추모식이 벌어졌습니다.
가장 피해가 컸던 반툴에서는 27일 아침 생존자들과 희생자 유족이 모인 가운데 사망자들을 애도하는 기도회가 열렸습니다.
지난 해 진도 6.3 의 강진이 족자카르타 주변 지역에서 발생해 수천명의 사망자가 발생한 외에 4만명 이상의 부상자가 발생했습니다.
이들 가운데 아직도 많은 사람들이 육체적, 정신적으로 고통을 받고 있습니다.
또한 25만 채 이상의 가옥이 파괴되는 등 극심한 재산피해가 발생했습니다.
그동안 정부와 민간의 도움으로 많은 가옥이 재건됐습니다.
수실로 밤방 유도요노 인도네시아 대통령은 26일 재건노력이 빠른 속도로 진행되고 있다며 찬사를 보냈습니다.

Indonesians have held ceremonies in communities across Java island marking the one year anniversary of the earthquake that killed about 57-hundred people.
Survivors and relatives of earthquake victims held pre-dawn prayers in the hardest-hit area of Bantul this (Sunday) morning to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives and livelihoods in the disaster.
The six-point-three magnitude quake devastated the area around Indonesia's ancient royal city of Yogyakarta. At least 40-thousand people were injured and many of them are still recovering from the physical and psychological trauma.
About 250-thousand homes were destroyed. Many of them have been rebuilt through government and private reconstruction efforts. On Saturday, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono praised the speed of the reconstruction and rehabilitation work.
