한국 국적의 화물선이 중국 동북부 해상에서 중국 국적의 콘테이너 선박과 충돌해 침몰하면서 선원 16명 전원이 실종됐습니다.
이번 충돌사고는 중국 산동성의 항구도시 옌타이 인근 해상에서 12일 새벽 안개가 짙은 상황에서 발생했습니다.
사고 당시 한국 화물선 골든로즈호에는 한국인 선원 7명을 포함해 16명이 타고 있었습니다. 나머지 선원들은 버마와 인도네시아 출신입니다.
중국 신화통신은 중국 헬기와 구조 선박들이 사고 해역에서 생존자 수색 작업을 벌이고 있다면서, 지금까지 구명보트 2척과 골든로즈호의 잔해만 발견됐다고 보도했습니다.

Sixteen sailors from a South Korean cargo vessel are missing after it collided with a Chinese-owned container ship and sank off China's northeast coast.
The collision happened before dawn Saturday in foggy conditions near the Chinese port of Yantai in Shandong province.
The South Korean ship, Golden Rose, was carrying 16 sailors, including seven South Koreans. The remaining crew members are from Burma and Indonesia.
China's official Xinhua News Agency says Chinese helicopters and rescue boats are searching the accident site for survivors. It says rescuers have so far only recovered two empty life rafts and some wreckage from the South Korean boat.
Xinhua says the Golden Rose was carrying 59 million tons of steel to South Korea from northeast China's Liaoning province. It says there were no reports of damage to the Chinese container ship, the Jinsheng.
Xinhua says the cause of the collision is under investigation.
