연합군은 사망자 가운데 4명이 무장세력이라고 밝혔습니다. 그러나 마을 주민들은 이들이 모두 민간인들이라고 주장하고 있습니다.
작년에 나토군이 실수로 무고한 민간인들을 살해했다고 인정한 이후 민간인 사망은 아프가니스탄에서 중요한 쟁점이 되고 있습니다.

Afghan students burned an effigy of President Bush today (Tuesday) as they rallied for a third day to protest the killing of civilians by U.S. coalition troops.
Hundreds of demonstrators briefly blocked a highway in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar, where six people were killed during a raid on Sunday by U.S.-led coalition troops and Afghan forces.
The coalition has said that four of the dead were militants. But villagers insisted all six were civilians.
The death of civilians has been a major issue in Afghanistan, with the NATO mission there admitting that its biggest mistake last year had been the killing of innocent people.
Elsewhere in the east, U.S.-led coalition warplanes killed four militants who attacked a town in Spera district in Khost province late Monday.
