중국 관리들은 에디오피아 반군들이 9명의 중국인들을 포함해 74명의 석유회사 근로자들을 사살한 뒤를 이어 아프리카 내 중국인 노동자들의 안전을 재점검하고 있습니다.
류진차오 중국 외교부 대변인은 26일 중국 정부와 공격을 받은 석유회사 관리들로 구성된 조사단이 에디오피아 동부 아볼레 마을에서 발생한 24일의 공격을 조사하고 있다고 말했습니다.
하지만 중국은 아프리카에서의 투자를 중단하지는 않을 것이라고 말했습니다. 공격을 받은 중국 국영회사 시노펙사도 위험에 대한 두려움 때문에 철수하지는 않을 것이라고 말했습니다. 한편 에티오피아 분리주의 단체인 오가덴 민족해방전선(ONLF)은 에디오피아 천연자원의 고갈에 반대하기 때문에 이같은 공격을 자행했다고 밝혔습니다.

Chinese officials say they are re-evaluating the safety of Chinese nationals in Africa after Ethiopian rebels killed 74 oil workers, including nine Chinese.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jinchao said today (Thursday) a team of officials from the Chinese government and the targeted oil company are in Ethiopia to investigate Tuesday's attack in the eastern town of Abole.
However, China says it will not withdraw investment from the African continent.
The Chinese state oil company (Sinopec) that owns the operation where the workers were killed also says it will not pull out because of a fear of risk.
An Ethiopian rebel group known as the Ogaden National Liberation Front says it attacked the workers because it objects to the exploitation of the region's mineral resources.
