미 상원의 찰스 슈머 의원과 린지 그래함 의원은 중국 정부가 인위적으로 위앤화 가치를 약세로 유지하고 있다고 지적하며 중국에 대해 강력한 무역조치를 취하는 법안을 마련중이라고 밝혔습니다.
중국 외교부 친강 대변인은 중국 당북이 환율개혁을 계속 추구하고 있다면서 미국 정부는 미국의 경제적 문제를 중국 탓으로 돌려서는 안된다고 지적했습니다.

China is criticizing plans by two U.S. senators to apply new pressure on Beijing to relax its currency controls.
A Chinese foreign ministry spokesman (Qin Gang) said today (Thursday) that U.S.-Chinese financial disputes should be resolved through mutual respect rather than threats or pressure.
Earlier this week, Senators Charles Schumer and Lindsey Graham said they are drafting legislation that would enact tough trade measures against China for allegedly keeping its currency artificially weak.
The senators said a weak yuan makes Chinese products cheaper than U.S.-made goods, and is largely to blame for the record U.S. trade deficit with China.
The Chinese spokesman said Beijing continues to pursue exchange rate reform. He also said that Washington should not blame China for U.S. economic problems.
