또한, 병사들은 이라크에서 이라크 정부의 허가 아래 임무를 수행중이었다고 덧붙였습니다. 한편, 이란은 병사 15명을 영해침해 혐의로 기소할 방침을 검토 중이라고 밝혔습니다.

Iraq has urged Iran to free 15 British naval personnel captured by the Iranian navy Friday in a disputed waterway.
An Iraqi Foreign Ministry statement today (Monday) says Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari demanded the release in a telephone call (late Sunday) with his Iranian counterpart. Zebari said information from Iraqi authorities indicates the Britons were detained in Iraqi territorial waters.
The Baghdad statement says Zebari emphasized the British naval personnel were operating in Iraq with the approval of the Iraqi government.
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Sunday that Iran is considering charging the 14 men and one woman with illegally entering Iranian waters. Britain denies the charge.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair has called the detention "unjustified and wrong."
