네팔 당국은 1일 전 마오쩌뚱주의 반군들이 과도정부에 참가하는 계획에 관해 당국과 회담을 가졌다고 밝혔습니다.
과도 정부의 한 장관은 이날 네팔의 마오쩌뚱주의 지도자 프라찬다와 기리자 프라사드 총리가 이 문제에 관해 회담을 가졌으나, 합의에는 이르지 못했다고 밝혔습니다.
마오쩌뚱주의 반군들이 과도정부에 참가하는 내용의 2006년 평화협정에 따라 빈군들은 과도 정부의 한 축을 구성하고 있으며, 올해 실시되는 선거에 참가할 예정입니다.
그 대신에 반군들은 그들의 무기를 반납하는데 동의하고, 유엔 감시하에 정부가 지원하는 28개 수용소에 거주하고 있습니다.

Officials in Nepal say former Maoist rebels have spoken with authorities about their plans with to join the interim government.
A government minister (Tourism Minister Pradip Gyawali) said Nepal's Maoist leader Prachanda and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala did not reach any formal agreements during today's (Friday's) negotiations.
Under a 2006 peace deal with Nepal's government, the Maoists are to form part of the interim government and take part in elections set for this year.
In return, the rebels have agreed to turn in their weapons and live in 28 government-funded camps monitored by U.N. observers.
The chief U.N. official in Nepal (Ian Martin) expressed concern about living conditions in the camps after visiting some last month.
